Where do I get these? I can’t find them online. Other applications yes, but for f150

@bx2-mc4xy says:

Still with imperfections

@peanutbutterisfu says:

I use a thin layer of RTV. Learned that years ago from a tech I worked with I thought he was crazy but he wasn’t! Until I started using rtv I would have problems with small leaks but after I started using rtv never had an issue again.

I like to hit the exhaust surface with a flat file. Makes a better mating surface

@billpickelheimer6323 says:

The trick is just use ultra copper on a basic gasket and it won't leak even on cheap header and collector gaskets

@f32440i says:

Oem always forget about these 'trade' secrets after market paid promotion junk

@loundclear9279 says:

I use those gaskets too I also add a layer of copper seal

I had a manifold glowing red on my turbo car over 100 times no leaks

@Raindrops4891 says:

i mean i have put gaskets onto surfaces that look exactly like that one you are showing and it was just fine lol

the real problem and very common with the 5.4 and 4.6 ford truck engines leaking exhaust around the exh manifold is the small studs breaking off due to rust. Once the stud fails you get a exh leak between the head and manifold. This is a very tough job to fix due the limited space and removing the broken studs from the head plus the fact the nuts have shrunk so normal tools won't fit.. normally we remove the inner fender wells then remove as many nuts you can. Those that fail to come off takes a bit of skill heat and a welder to weld nuts to the remaining damage studs.. clean the head install new studs, gasket then a new manifold and nuts. you can spend a day just trying to remove the broken studs.. not to brag but I've always managed to get all the studs out of the head. https://youtu.be/aM2VYQwIxnw

@octaviomorales7122 says:

or you could just use copper RTV on the gasket and the header

@semiprofessional8470 says:

Those ones will blow just the same. Just not completely.

@soulfishertoo says:

How is this a trade secret? And attempting to keep secrets like this makes you an asshole so I blocked your channel there is nothing you know I need to lnow

@louisschummer931 says:

And wouldn't you know my 4.6L is leaking in that exact spot after replacing the manifold and gasket. Thanks!

@aceventura1523 says:

'and then mech-god created permatex the "RIGHT STUFF" and all was well'

mlg's still suck, living in the rust belt makes short work of them..

@Jengoboys603 says:

Fachin rtv black it use victor reinz replacements designed to seal

@bobsponge1877 says:

Ancient Chinese secret huh?

@davidcarberry3547 says:
