Been a mechanic for 25 years… sorry to say that in all my years I've only seen ford blow spark plugs out… galvanic corrosion between aluminum head and steel plug plus garbage aluminum and you can throw in over torquing the plugs and not using anti-seize. Same.goes for Honda oil pans… garbage aluminum and over torquing the drain plug eventually pulls the threads
You may not be using helicoils correctly. I've been using them in multiple application for 30 years w/ no problem. I agree a helicopter for a spark plug thread is not the correct use. Timesert is the way.
Helicoils should only ever be used on fasteners that don't need to be undone again, useful for using once but invariably the helicoil will pull out next time the bolt is removed. I've seen people use them on sump plays (oil pan drain plug to you guys) with predictable results at next oil change! Wurth time serts are great though, often better than original as you're replacing the weak alloy thread with a steel one.

If you don't want those helicoil kits, sell'em to me I do want them
All have their application and head pressure isnt a helicoil job
