In this video, we demonstrate the Ford dealer diagnostic tool (VCM3 with FDRS) on a 2021 Ford Ranger. You’ll see how the system reads the VIN, performs an automatic global scan, surfaces module faults, and shows dealer-only capabilities like software updates, module programming, power balance, and more. We also cover best practice on battery support and when to use USB vs Wi-Fi.
Note: This is an isolated segment from our full comparison where we put the Ford VCM3/FDRS up against the Autocom ICON aftermarket tool on the same vehicle. Watch the full head-to-head here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PiEdkhAl5qE&t=683s

Curious if this can do odometer write. Someone changed me $300 to reprogram my swap instrument cluster, he bypassed ptas, but said he wll finish setting odometer tomorrow and never showed up.So I'm left with instrument cluster with wrong mileage and 4×4 light on even though mine is 2×4.
Do you have to keep updating the vcm3 and how much it cost to update
How to buy software sir to program ECU of ford brand?
Could the Ford diagnostic software run on the same Panasonic Toughbook that I've got Xentry running on ?
I’m having an issue with my Ranger not changing gear properly. It’s an automatic. The dealer I bought it from has had a diagnostic test done, and I’ve requested a report from them.
They have sent a paragraph of writing through to me that I’m not entirely happy with. Do Ford keep a copy of the diagnostics run and am able to get a full copy of it?
