After replacing a brake booster you do not have to replace a functioning brake switch. You just need to remove, reset, install and then release the brake pedal to reset the length. I couldn't get my 2011 ford ranger 4.0 outta park, but the traction indicator illuminated on the dash. So is this the reason why?
I reset the switch amd my brake fault is still on? Any ideas?

Thanks! My brake lights stuck on after removing the pedal box to repair the clutch pedal (broken weld on pin to clutch clevis). I was definitely wondering if I had gone insane until I found this video on resetting the switch length.
After resetting the brake switch you mentioned pressing the brake and then inserting the brake switch and releasing the brake from the car will adjust the brake switch?
All 3 brake light went out at the same time and i cant shift out of park. I changed the brake switch, any other ideas?
