I couldn’t find any videos on how to install an aftermarket subwoofer in the new 13th generation 2015-2019 FORD trucks so I thought I would make one to show you how easy it is. I did find references in some forums though. The wiring is already there just turn it ON and hook it up.

How did you find the wiring diagram for the harness? I’m looking to buy the harness and all the wires look green in the pictures
Where did you ground to?
There’s something to be said about doing this on your own for future zombie apocalypse times.. but but in those times I’m not gonna be worried about subs and my dream truck audio sound. So, imma just let my local shop do this and give me a background on some troubleshooting techniques and keep my sanity lol. Good video tho! Thanks for sharing
You mentioned in the video that the remote did not activate unless enabled with forscan. What about the signal +- wires?
I really wish u would have went more in depth on the factory sub wires I can’t find mine I have the same year and I pulled the trim off and there is a wire in green tape but that’s it
So just to confirm, you splice the signal -& + to both rca wires evenly? Because the sub dont need balance?
Also, i couldn’t see where the hidden connector sits? My truck has one that’s connected to what looks like a sensor? No other loose connection?
You never actually show the subwoofer connector in this video. Do you remember what color wire it is? I have a green one going all the way up
Great video, I going to take a few ideas from yours and other to install my system today. Question though? Do you know if the output signal from the wiring harness is hi or low? Thank you
How much you spend on equipment and are you satisfied with it? I still got the Sony system the truck came with
where behind the seat did you ground the amp? thanks for the videos
Do you have to have a license to use for scan?
Is there a link to where you got the box from?
Got pictures of how to install ground wire?
What is the box that you used for the sub? Thanks
Awesome video, thanks
Hey guys. The pass-thru for aftermarket wiring is going to be the little 1 inch or so "nub" sticking out to the left of the main harness on the harness grommet. (Looking from engine side) If you puncture the nub, it will make a water tight seal for your wiring. I work for truck manufacturing.
anyone know what sub this is?
Struggling here. What do you do with the inner wire and outer wire on the rca cable. ? How do you splice that to one single cable on the adapter to the stock plug in the Collum?
Did you ever test the ground location with your multi meter? I have my ground mounted there as well and havent got around to making sure its good.
Have you ran into a the sound volume being lower after making the changes ?
