Chrysler 9.25 Diff: COMPLETE Step by Step Rebuild and Install!!

Come along with me while I investigate a differential Whine, and install some 4:56 gears in the process! Completely rebuild the differential along with new clutch packs, then the proper way to install a diff into the housing. This is a major job not for the faint of heart, so be ready to get dirt, and frustrated along the way.
Thanks for watching, I hope you enjoy it and learn something!

Question about post pinion nut installation and torquing on a 2015 9.25. What are the allen head locking pins actually called and where would I find them? Thanks.

@CodyHoggatt says:

Where did you get your new clutch packs

@tommythompson3487 says:

How were you getting math on pinion depth… Mine was 3" and my caps ended being 1.64/1.65 so my pinion depth should be 1.65?

@russelljohnston7957 says:

I just swapped my 3.55 to 4.56s in my 09 ram with identical axle, my gear pattern looks identical to yours but charts say its incorrect, should I be worried?

@forfuccsakes says:

I dropped my axle in the gravel on the pinion. Do I have to redo this ?

@Jaybenji361 says:

Where can you get the spider gears for these?

I have watched every video that others have made on putting back this very exact assembly , and yours by far is the most comprehensive for DIYer.Thank you for guidance and instructions!

Great video, thanks for posting!

Nicely done, sir. I’m doing this exact job right now. All that climbing in and out from underneath, the truck really sucks. I took my spare tire out so that at least I could sit under their halfway comfortably and work on the thing. I had to grind one ring gear tooth on my 4.56 gear too. I did this job once before and made the mistake of using a different brand of race with my different brand of bearing. I got all the same this time and the same set up bearings you are right about that. Thank you, sir and good job!
