The battery could have been changed by removing the drivers side front wheel, and the inner well guards. In addition, the cables run to the top and then also connect to the second set that relays the power of the battery. so you would not have had to remove the bumper at all, and connected the second set of cables together, saving a lot of time
While it would've been great to see the incredible amount of hand force required to push-up those large white plastic clamps, at least yours is the only video I could find showing what they look like once unclipped. (Which helped me understand that you've just got to keep pushing, as long as the red lock is all the way up). As much of a pain as it is getting all those clips off… it's not a "$500 pain" (which is what a local shop wanted to charge me for the "effort"). I'm really glad that "all" I've spent is the price of the TIPM itself, since it didn't resolve my 'dim headlight issue'.
So, to remove the battery on a Chrysler, you don't need to remove the bumper. You can remove the drivers tire, remove the plastic splash guards, and remove the battery from there. Put the new battery in, replace the splash guards, and then out the tire back on and you're set.
Whoever in Chrysler thought it would be a good idea to turn $20 relay replacements into a $1k+ TIPM replacement needs to be sued and thrown in jail. This is ridiculous and had I known this was susch a common point of failure before buying a Chrysler 200, I never would have touched it! Thank you for showing me how I might save over a grand.
Dorman products suck anymore. Used to make a decent product, but not anymore. If you want problems, buy their products. You'd be better off sending the module out for repair.
I really wish he would have answered some of the comments. Because I have a Chrysler 200 2012 new battery new alternator still won't start this this is the worst car ever ever to fix. Little over a 100000 miles and everything has gone wrong within the past 3 months. The car has literally been down for 2 months in repairs. Chrysler should have recalled on this system of anesthesim because it's the biggest POS yes I've ever owned. If anyone has any answers Or ideas that you could throw my way I'd appreciate you. Because I have searched everywhere every forum and I'm not getting a straight answer. Good luck to all the Christ are 200 owners we need it.
Just changed my wife's TIPM wife's and so far all the problems gone I got my TIPM from MAKS TIPM REBUILDERS they let you rent it to makes sure thats the problem
I have a 2011 chrysler 200 and my passenger side headlight will not power up. I replaced the bulb and even checked the wiring for chew marks and I found none, think my tipm is bad ?

Can you use neg and pos at top instead of below for hard reset? Will a jumper wire accomplish same?
I bought a used one on eBay replaced it horn now works. It $140 total I took the chance seems to have fixed the issue. I have a 2013 Chrysler 200 2.4l

My horns been going off nonstop. I changed clockspring. Still have the horn going off. Now I guess TIPM is the next thing to change out?

Hey I’m having troubles with my fuel injectors none of them are firing I’ve coke to find it’s some wiring going into the tipm how can I fix this
