If i remember correctly my 1990 mitsubishi shogun had hi/low manual levers and buttons to lock the 3 diffs, front, centre or rear, with an auto gearbox. It seemed ideal at the time and in the 5 years i had it there were no problems.
That pot hole must have been bigger than a regular pot hole, if you're having this much trouble with it? By the way it looks, you had to have gone off a jump?
If some enterprising mechanic/entrepreneur type could build, and offer for sale to the public, trucks/cars, without all of the electronic gobbly goo nonsense, they would be a billionaire within a year…….
