We bought this Cadillac CTS V Sport, it was mechanically totaled and sold as is. After finding loose timing chains we fixed everything on a budget and then turned up the boost. Wait until you hear how it sounds!

It's a common practice for mechanics who are working on a build or a motor while having to handle other things during work to paint mark components that they have completed. That being to ensure things like not forgetting to tighten bolts or place clamps and other sequence oriented operations. It appears to me that this is why you have all those blue markings. They were too numerous to be alignment marks for a specific mechanical repair.
Im sourcing the same car . Timing chains Issues were corrected 2016 _2019
I love these cars, but just too damn expensive for me.
Love the 2 chainz cameo
If that girl would have just stayed somewhat calm and explained to the officer the situation I believe would have gone in a completely different direction . Ridiculous ….
Help me fix my CTS plzzz same issue
Will the stock transmission be reliable with 500hp on tap? Great budget build!!
How's the reliability on this thing?
Help!!!! I have a P0480 and P0691 code. Dealership said replace ENTIRE radiator fan due to relay being inside the fan. Brand new radiator fan and P0480 and P0691 still persist. Car never over heated and still dosent but when u sit still you get a loud clicking/ ticking that stops when you turn the fan on high…… what is wrong!!!!
6:45 nah – these V6’s are well known for horror varnishing. They require more frequent oil changes than the factory recommended
4:39 such a shame that Bamboolabs are objectively anti-consumer.
I love a CTS V I need to get another one
A pleasant surprise to find your material here. As an owner of a 2.0l turbo CTS and two CT6’s (twin turbo 3.0 and a 3.6 naturally aspirated v6) I throughly enjoyed your rip up and production here. So great to see your mechanic skills – cool and confident while you did the job. Learned a lot about the car and what it takes to fix the timing belt snd do a couple of upgrades. You sir I have to subscribe too. Thank you!
Nice fix body
It sounds pretty good, seems to pull decent, I don't know about 500 hp, but we're looking at a 6,000 lb truck too !
Now we just need to let it rude for a few thousand miles and see how it does. It wouldn't surprise me if it runs just fine for many miles. The Chinese have came a long way with their ability to manufacture quality hard parts. It used to be that a part may look, feel, and dimensionally be correct but the issue would be with things like the heat treat of the alloys, or the alloys themselves. But they have gotten to where their ability to reproduce parts and them not only be dimensionally the same, but materially the same too has came a long way and they have got it pretty much figured out. The biggest problem I have found with Chinese parts components, and equipment is in their assembly practices. Any assembly I get from there I immediately tear it apart completely, thoroughly clean, and deburr, double check any critical dimensions, and reassemble it with seals and gaskets of a known quality. This is because China's biggest shortcomings I've found to be in the final fit and finish, and assembly. They tend to leave parts a little rough, finish wise, sometimes extremely dirty. It's nit uncommon at all to find large amounts of swarf, metal chips, and just general trash inside assemblies. Another area that is always suspect is the gaskets and seal. Sometimes the ones they use are of extremely poor quality. But, usually the price difference between a Chinese part, and their name brand, or OEM competitors is large enough that it's well worth my time and labor to tear it apart and reassemble it.
I have that same Duralast GM puller it worked great for me I was honestly surprised.
29:12 those things are time bombs. But they do work
The inside of that engine looks like a circus
next get a honda and add the bolt on supercharger
Awesome work! What a beast of a car. I look at everything you did as worth it for basically a luxury Hot Rod. Subscribed!
@Samcrac at 7:06 where does that vacuum line goes to underneath? Mine got under the serpentine belt and ripped it off at that point.
Buy cheap buy twice
what's with the long ass sidetracking to 3D printing? That's not why I clicked on this video
The reason those cam retainers are made of metal is because they have to keep the cams from turning! Which those plastic ones you made would not be able to do!!!
