In Canada, Lucerne is the name of a huge dairy producer. I never understood the people who bought a car with the same name as milk at the grocery store.

@bradygiltz5160 says:

Those are rare

@TheUnderPaidDoctor says:

I'd buy it. He sure the water pump belt isn't broken?

@sethbybee4748 says:

Man I thought I was clever in thinking it was gonna be a Bonneville GXP and totally forgot some Lucernes came with a north star also

@LarryFine-y1z says:

Northstar is a warning label

@BeJankins-b4n says:

This is to the creator of this channel
You need to realize that all northstar engines will fail a blocktest, including mine which had timeserts in 2000-2004, unfortunately the headbolts are the weak point on these engines and the way to fix this issue completely is get in contact with a company called northstar performance, order a MLS HG, the stud and tap and die kit, and then pull the engine out of the car as you will not have enough access to the back headbolts

@Ahoooie says:

Disgusting how these northstars were just garbage after the head gasket needed replaced.Engineeers really fkkkd this one up good.Great engine,just put it in sideways,it will be fine???????????????

@ricky-sanchez says:

The ultra reliable Northstar engine!! American engineering at it best!

@fabiobandini says:

Bad water pump.

@reginaldwilson2532 says:

That’s the better version of the Northstar

@TheFakeDaemani says:

My family has one of these, highly surprised it hasn’t blown up yet

@mikemcgown6362 says:

I worked in a Buick dealership from 93 to 95. I was at the General Motors Training Center in Detroit for the unveiling of the new 96 Riviera which was equipped with the Northstar. It was rumored to be the future of GM engineering. It failed. Maybe it was a hint of the disasters that lay ahead.

@lespearson3801 says:

Damn! Juan screwed you. That's not head gasket. You could've turned that car easy.
I'd hire a different Juan. That one losses you money. Water pump and thermostat is a cheap, easy fix.

@gmaker69 says:

Pretty car shame

@blaykeysproduction says:

I bought a 2017 Chevy traverse off a lady for $500 with 79k only….she said she was told by Chevy it was done needed to be scrapped….no power steering, no crank keys stuck in ignition, windows don’t work…..it needed a battery….power steering fluid and a set of $30 switches from Amazon….total cost $300 so I have a 2017 traverse with 80k that I payed $800 for lol was on its way to the junkyard…..dealerships are gross

@joemanfredi6267 says:

I think my 99 aurora has the northstar engine. I cant remember. I miss that car though

@uPilot says:

I thought it was Cadillac only WTF

@jango156 says:

I saw the badge and said probably a headgasket.

@isatizpichardo4413 says:

Had a 2003 olds Aurora with the "shortstar" 4.0 V8. Good car. Bad engine of course.
