I had a slow leak on my 2008 Cadillac Escalade. This video shows me finding and diagnosing the leak as well as the steps I took to repair the leak. I ended up replacing a gasket on a oil line cooler plug on the oil pan. It has been a couple of weeks now since I changed the gasket and it has completely stopped leaking.

Any recommendations. I had the same leak but now the bolt won’t tighten… anybody have the part code for the bolts wanting to try new ones before I take it to the shop.
Hi! Great video! Thank you! Do you have to drain the engine oil?
Thank you! Very helpful! You saved me a lot of money.
Im leaking in both. That and the rear main seal. Just got both parts today i just wanna get some 6 ton jacks now to get it comfortably high enough when i take out the transmission.
How many miles does the vehicle need to have for you to recommend to replace the gasket ?
I believe this is the issue that I'm having with my 2003 Cadillac Escalade 6.0 motor wonderful detail all the way down to the part number fantastic sir once I complete the job I'll let you know if that was indeed the issue I believe that it is thanks again.
I see that your oil filter is still attached. Did you drain the oil before opening the plug?
Rtv on a gasket..smh that's a noob thing to do
What is that part exactly?? thanks
Quick question can u loose all ur oil pressure cus of that seal, I’m about to check the rear main seal n then go from there.
Friend, I have a 2010 Tahoe 5.3 with an Oil Cooler Line and It often leaks oil. I don't know why some cars have a coolant line and others don't, like yours. I'm thinking of removing it to make it like yours. Is there any harm in that?
I am sorry I use translation
Did this help you oil pressure at All?
Thank you for the video! Is it possible to LOSE all your oil via this oil cooler gasket issue? I went on a 3hr round trip and lost ALL my oil on dipstick. Thanks
Best video ever bro. Youre a LIFESAVER!!!!!!!!!❤
What's the torch spec on those screws for the cooler
I went to the dealership and they couldn’t fix or find the leak I thought it was the oil filter because so much oil came from there that area and I came across this video and I truly believe that’s my issue I’m going to fix it myself because he makes it look so easy ty
You send it to the shop they be lying to you trying to get you to fix that rear main seal
It should have oil cooling lines going to the radiator from there, not blocked off
Did this end up being the culprit? Great video!
Do you know the name to the seal I have the same problem
Thanks for this video, I have a slow leak in my Cadillac Escalade 2007 model when I look under the leak is actually coming out from the same area as your vehicle first I thought I was oil pressure sensor leaking where most the Chevrolet vehicles actually famous for . I have only one question here did drain all the engine oil before u change the seal .
Dude looks like Louis litt, But thank you man that was nice and easy to understand video.
Great video. Thanks!
