EASILY REMOVE COOLANT OVERFLOW RESERVOIR TANK FROM CADILLAC DEVILLE (EXPANSION TANK)

Hi, I’m needing to remove the coolant reservoir to better reach a valve cover bolt.
Removing the hose at the bottom of the tank is very difficult unless you know how it works and have the correct tool.
It can be removed in other ways, but this is the easiest. Ask me how I know.

thanks for watching.

a special thanks to all my subscribers.

The reason I needed to do this was because I decided to change my valve cover gasket while I was doing my coolant crossover seals.
I will list those vids once done.

Manual’s Instructions for replacing seals on coolant crossover: (This list will not fit in pertaining vids along with my custom instructions so I am listing here.)
1. Disconnect negative battery cable.
2. Drain coolant
3. Rem beauty cover
4. Rem air filter housing
5. Disconnect the brake booster hose from the coolant crossover housing.
6. Disconnect the fuel pressure regulator
7. Rem water pump drive belt tensioner
8. If applicable, Rem secondary AIR solenoid and and vacuum hose from check valve.
9. Rem secondary AIR check valve.
10. Rem secondary AIR check valve bracket from coolant crossover. (I did not do this)
11. Rem throttle body.
12. Disconnect the fuel rail bracket mounting bolts and separate the bracket from the coolant crossover housing (CCH)
13. Rem the coolant expansion tank hose from CCH.
14. Rem engine lift bracket from CCH.
15. Rem EGR valve.
16. Rem EGR pipe from CCH.
17. Rem EVAP canister purge valve.
18. Rem MAP sensor
19. Disconnect the shift cable from the transaxle and position cable to the side.
20. Rem the upper and lower radiator hoses from the CCH.
21. Rem the water pump cover.
22. Label the vacuum lines, heater hoses, emissions system hosed, electric connectors and ground straps to ensure correct installation.
23. Rem CCH mounting bolts.
24. Separate housing from engine.
25. Clean the gasket surfaces with a scraper and lacquer thinner or brake cleaner.
26. Position new gaskets and seals, using RTV sealant to hold them in place. Follow markings on gasket such as “UP”, “TOP”, or “FRONT”.
27. Set the CCH in position. Be sure all the bolt holes are lined up and start all the bolts by hand. Lightly oil the threads of the bolts before installation. Be sure the correct length bolts are in correct position.
28. Tighten bolts to 18 ft lbs.
29. Install the remaining components in the reverse order of removal.
30. Refill the cooling system.
