How much does it cost to replace the timing chain?
Toyota's engines have a drive chain that doesn't need to be changed. Regular maintenance is the key of a life time duration of chain.

these engines are not the greatest…designed to last thru warranty and that's it!
Yeah, I can see this is one of those jobs I would never attempt to do myself because of all the special equipment that is needed and because it is just a little bit beyond my level of ability and expertise. I guess sadly, I'm going to have to pay for this one.
