In this video, I repair a bricked ECU from a 2012 Dodge Ram 2500 with the 6.7L Cummins diesel engine. The customer was using an aftermarket tuner that got interrupted halfway through flashing, leaving the truck completely inoperable and triggering a U1601 which indicates a missing or corrupted ECU application software code.
I walk through the full ECU recovery process on this one using chrysler legacy flash app, bench flashing the ECM with fresh software, and bringing the truck back to life.
