How to Replace Your Dodge Charger PCM (ECU) Watch This First! (2006-2010)
Is your Dodge Charger or Dodge Magnum having engine computer issues (bad PCM/ECU)? This step-by-step video guide shows you exactly how to locate, remove, and replace the Engine Control Unit (ECU), also known as the Powertrain Control Module (PCM), on your Mopar vehicle.

We walk you through the entire physical replacement process for the LX platform cars, which covers the Dodge Charger and Dodge Magnum models from 2006 to 2010. The procedure is also similar for the related Chrysler 300 models (2005-2010).

A new or used replacement ECU/PCM MUST be programmed/flashed to your car’s Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) and may require SKIM (Sentry Key Immobilizer Module) initialization to function properly and prevent a no-start condition. Simply replacing the physical computer is NOT a plug-and-play fix.
