There is another big recall of the Harbor Freight Pittsburg HD jack stands After recalling 1.7 million of its three and six-ton Pittsburgh jack stands back in May, Harbor Freight has announced that a portion of the three-ton jack stands intended to replace those recalled earlier this year have also been recalled for a welding defect – please check out yours. https://www.caranddriver.com/news/a33238450/harbor-freight-recalls-replacement-pittsburgh-jack-stands/

Hi Robert, thanks for this useful video, always a bit wary of where to jck the car at the back. I am just about to remove the auto transmission on my 850 and so will need to drop the sub-frame, which is where most of the front jacking points are located. Can you suggest where to safely support the car while I am removing it please?

Much appreciated advice good sir.

Damn… you just have the answers for everything. I'm getting ready to install new O2 sensors (ugh…) and want to make sure I'm not going to die under there, or bend things that aren't meant to be bent. Thank you for all your videos! I know it needs O2 sensors because you taught me to read the codes.

Thank you for your videos. Do you know what the name is of the "triangular plate" in thw front? I used one of them as an extra security jack point when using two other jack stands, and it somehow got a little bent. Trying to determine whether this is or will be an issue. Thanks!

Robert, how do you feel about using a piece of thick wood to help jack the car up. i mean so the weight isn't concentrated in a small area

Robert I accidentally poured water coolant into the engine . the oil now has coolant in it. I need to drain it all out. but don't want to use a flush. I intend to flush with standard oil.

Robert, I have a 96 960 and I want to jack it up by the front, however there is this big piece of plastic covering the frame right behind the radiator. I've tried removing it but I can't get under there far enough to do anything with it. It's just too small to fit.

thanks robert!

Robert, as ever great vids…

These cars are a pig to jack up from the rear, if you can't use the rear delta link point you show used in this video or any of the suspension you indicate because you working on it. Instead, inboard of those arrows you indicate on the sills it seems is really the only way.

Had to do the Delta Links see video at: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vR8DyLSig50&lc=z12estzzhpfkgjodm22ejzhysuj0yrx2g

Doing this job you come against it. Nothing to jack to! Thanks to the clue you gave me, got there in the end. Thx Robert.

Hello, I encountered a problem with my 98 Volvo V70 TDI. Problem is that turbo only starts working after 3000rpm. It used to work after around 1800rpm. What could've gone wrong with it. I changed whole module above air filter but it's still the same. Maybe you've heard or encountered something like that by yourself. I know you only work with petrol Volvo's but the system may be similar.

thank you Robert 🙂

Thanks for the video, nice to know I was using the sweet spots. I do use a floor jack on the front subframe but do use the jack that came with the car for the rear since I can't see anywhere sensible to use a floor jack.
