►Replacing the inner and outer tie rods on your Volvo XC90 isn’t a regular job but one that needs to be done at higher mileage. The tie rods are directly responsible for transferring the input from the steering wheel to the front wheels and use ball joints to transfer the input. Over time, those ball joints will wear and create a vague and sloppy steering feel, essentially reducing the steering’s effectiveness.
