Volvo S60 ABS Ring Repair Video HD

A quick DIY guide for replacing the front ABS reluctor rings on a P2 Volvo S60/S80/V70. The vehicle in this demo was a 2004 Volvo S60 D5 5 speed manual. Always use axle stands to secure your vehicle when lifting it. Repair time 45 min to 1 hour. This job can be tackled with basic mechanic’s tools.

EDIT: You may need to do a front wheel alignment after this procedure. This is due to the front suspension leg having a certain amount of tolerance in it. Removal of the two large bolts and refitting parts may end up distorting the steering geometry slightly.

Great video. Maybe just telling people that they might be forced to do a front end alignment since there is enough free play in the holes to the 2 big bolts to distort the alignment. Unless you do some really good markings and can get it back in absolute exact position as before. Thanks for the Video, I need to do this on my right side.
