A complete tutorial on how to upgrade the look and function of the Volvo P2 wiper assembly.
If you own a pre-2005 Volvo P2 chassis model, simply put, your wipers can use an upgrade. The wipers on your car use the earlier outdated “frame” style wipers which typically use a frame structure and have a hook at the end used to secure the wiper blades to the wiper arm. These blades typically are less flexible and also less appealing to the eye.
The later style blades are used on the 2005+ model years and use a frameless design. This style has no metal material on the blades themselves which allows for a more flexible blade that fits the contour of the windshield better. The result is a cleaner, more precise wipe with a more modern and unique look.

Can't find a video anywhere for the more recent Volvo's
Not a bad video aside from them glossing over how he tried to put the blade on backwards. If the arm has that tab on the end, then you must seat the other end first and then the tab end snaps into place.
Could you substitute battery terminal cleaner?
i have the new frameless design and they wobble across the window plus expensive to replace. And i used a puller they were rust bonded to the spline.
0:50 I'm in Canada, I can tell that no way the arm will come out from there without a strong puller (check out Aliexpress). It's really seized and forcing on it will only damage the wiper mechanism underneath. By the way, I like the older wiper design, there are more choices and Bosch Icon work perfectly on these cars – dead quiet, perfectly wiping at all speeds, perfect in winter and long lasting. The only problem is the snow is accumulating near the A-pillar, so the new design will slightly reduce this because the wiper stays offset, but not completely

Put a film of anti seize compound on the splines so the next guy has it easy.
