I had my strut replace in my 2012 Volvo S60 due to a pothole. The mechanic cut my ABS wire in half and cause my ABS and DSTC light to illuminate, thus causing the transmission to go into limp mode. A faulty ABS sensor can also cause this. I ended up repairing the wire since its a pain to replace and it fixed the issue.

Hi in my car appear dstc service required and then the waring dissapear but the car enter in limp mode maybe because it have a bad accelerate and low boost !! What do you think about that? Abs sensor wairings are ok all its ok

Just had this "fault code" display on my 2013 S60 T5. Took the vehicle in for repair AND two Factory Service Recalls. Recall repair to the seat belt and door latch A-OK. The ABD/DTC not so much. Was quoted in excess of $1,000 for replacement of the ABS sensor with a MANDATORY replacement of right front wheel bearing assembly. I politely declined. Dealer shenanigans like this reflect poorly on the Volvo brand. The dealership is located in NE TN. Very disappointed.

I just had this message come up on my dash. ABS/DSTC Service required. I made an appointment with a car delearship and about 2 hours later they charged me 138.00 and said I had debris that needed to be cleaned out. He said he found a dirty L/R toner whell on axle that need to be cleaned and reset. I am guessing I was ripped off because of how much he charged me for this. I have a 2010 Volvo S80. 88,000 miles
I recently did coilovers on my 2013 p3 s60 and my abs / dstc lights are on too, but my wires arent even touched… I did unplug them. Maybe I can hard reset it ?
Hi…..I have just spent 32 k on my 2007 Volvo s 80 gearbox got the car back have done 50 km and the gearbox started slipping on pull away and went into 3 rd gear limp mode….on the dash it showed Dstv service and gearbox performance low….called the garage and now they say it must be the valve body and it’s another 28 k…..please advise

For me,My VOLVO S60 2012 get DSTC Service Required (NO LIMP)on long holiday in april.
I called VOLVO dealer and they said you can drive but the system will lock throttle and turbo boost.
The pain is accelerate really slow and can't overtake. You can drive with 80-90 Km/h with DSTC off .
After it can arrived to home,The next day,We drove S 60 to VOLVO Dealer to change a ABS sensor that fail from right wheel.
Before that situation happened. The dealer replace ABS sensor on left wheel only.
The ABS sensor cost 153.30 dollar for one piece.
I want to buy the obd check but that price i can find VOLVO VIDA on ebay and get VOLVO VIDA software on swedespeed.
