thx!!

Robert DIY says:

No, there is no trick to the video. LOL I did it myself just 2 days ago. Maybe there is something broken with your system. Remove the box, it simply pulls up, check the wires to make sure none of the wires are broken. Does the light come on at all?

I have tried this on my 1995 Volvo 850 but the light never flashes. Could the #7 be the wrong input?

Help!

Robert DIY says:

Not sure what you mean by cheat code?

Clifford Bryan john Wilson says:

Do you know if the cheat code will work on my 850 GLT 93 sedan Thanx

There is a special OBD2 tool that you can purchase for about $75. I would just pull the bulb. Volvo uses a special tool. I’m considering buying one and loaning it out.

Now, how do I do it on a 1996 850?

Hey the advice helped soo far so good with no service light on thx!

Robert DIY says:

Should have a plug in the odometer. Pull the rubber plug, then stick something through the hole to press the reset button.

My comment was not INCORRECT. You can NOT reset the 1996 models with the controller in this video because the ’96 and ’97 cars do NOT have that controller.

Yes someone could purchase a service reset tool from eBay or somewhere that cost anywhere from $35 to $170, however, I would NOT suggest buying some cheap rig to communicate with my ECU. There is a lot of risk there and no guarantees.
