Derek Wood says:

I just took it to a mechanic who confirmed the diagnosis and the easy repair but they told me they have seen this before and to be very careful to watch for an oil leak somewhere down the road… May happen, may not happen but why might that be?

I am getting the P0171 and P0174 the same day this noise started. The noise you have is the exact same thing I am hearing, but you didn't mention the code/check engine light at all. Do those codes match the noise I have and the problem you addressed? Thanks!

Marc Woodward says:

The torque for the bolts is 10 Nm or 7.4 ft-lb in case anyone needs to know. Since the housing has metal reinforcement at the bolt holes your rule of snug plus a quarter turn should be sufficient for all those who don't have or want to use a torque wrench. Thanks for the video!

Replacing the same item on 2010 XC60 3.2. Do I need to order a gasket with the PCV/Oil Trap?

jsphgruber says:

I am really appreciative of you making this video. I was concerned the noise was a more serious bearing type of issue. Your videos are very well done and thank you very much.

Why we don't change the diaphragm instead of the whole kit and why we change the oil filter? Thanks in advance.

mike parks says:

Great Help. Thanks for your videos!!!!

Nathan Hale says:

Why not just replace the diaphragm?

Thank you so much for your wonderful video. Please advise why I could NOT remove the old cover, after I removed all 14 screws. My is 2010 XC90 3.2 and I just do not take out the old cover. Could you please advise on this?

Drew Dienno says:

would the same basic process apply to a 2011 s80?
