A really stupid idea to put the filter in such a place. It's an extremely tight place and the question is will any filter do, e.g., a paper filter since folding it in half probably breakes it.
looking forward to doing the filter on my CX-70
How did you remove that black fuse box??? Mine won’t go out
what a nightmare… I imagine the Volvo engineer that designed this… no longer works for Volvo.
Wow, now I know why a filter change costs so much. What was Volvo thinking when they designed this? Thanks for the video!
Clear instruction, thank you for sharing!
Volvo really went through a lot of work to make this replaceable filter so hard to access.
Folding the new filter in half was a brilliant tip. Shortened my install significantly due to not having to take out the connector box.
Only Volvo could make replacing an air filter this complicated.
Thanks filterheads, I was trying without success, with your help it took me 10 minutes. This video is valid for Volvo S80 2011.
Whoever designed a place like this for a semi-frequent replacement item needs to not procreate
Volvo designers must have been drinking too much and were temporarily brain dead. Yet Video will help .
Hi, great video. Just tried this on my 2015 Xc60. Couldn't get the small fuse box out though any tips on how to prise the thing Out for the next time I try this? Have to say Volvo don't make it easy for those of us wanting to save a few £££ also do the OEM filters shrink?? OEM one was over an inch shorter than the new MANN active Carbon one when laid next to each other. It had the correct part number for the car on it, wouldn't have done a great job of filtering.
Just replaced the cabin air filter on my 2011 S80 T6 (w/IAQS) and it was more painful than I thought it would be. A couple of notes: The fuse box must be snapped out and down; (you have to disconnect blue bus feed connection (top right, fuse box)). Then fight to release 3 tabs from filter door; then grab old filter with a tool to get it started and then roll it out and down by curling it. Write the date & mileage on new filter w/Sharpie before install. Thanks to filterheads.com for their video!
How can I tune the radio in my Volvo v70 2001 model ! ?? please help !!!! thanks !
This works for the 2015 v60 as well!
