In This video I show you what you need to be able to install a Volvo electric power steering pump into your car. I fabricate my own bracket to fit and make a remote reservoir system that you can copy to make your life easier. I also go over all the fittings you need, the cars that this pump came out of and any other questions you might have about the pump. Also I take it for a test drive so you can see how it feels.

Same pumps with different variations of connectors and reservoirs in the Focus, Transit, C Max, Volvo and several others in Fords plus some True electric PS in other brands also that just ties into the steering shaft under the dash.
P.S at full lock and relief open the highest amperage ive seen is around 65A max on the 3-4 we have tested.

Did you still use the stock Foxbody rack?
Just get the one off the holden / opel / Vauxhall astra. Theyre like 30 bucks, and they are literally the exact same bosche unit. Genuinely, i put one in a nissan patrol for 120 bucks AUD, including mounts, lines, fittings and wiring. Not really worth paying more for the same product, with a different size reservoir.

I’ve seen multiple videos of the S 40 power steering pump and I was wondering if a cooler is not needed for this set up?
Install a pump controller, the pumps run in limp mode without can bus imput. They offer two, one has adjustable knob for pressure, the9ther is gps wheel speed for self adjusting.

thank god the s40 s are more useful than paper weights as they blow up around 80k or if you hit a parking curb up front it grenades the ac pump into the timing belt at 2mp or less. i have seen ton of these in my junk yards and none were missing the pumps ..guess i know a guy that will be the " PUMP MASTER" of the local yards. actually, until this video i didn't understand why you would want these but being a mustang and Volvo owner i get it now.
maybe ill get a cassette Walkman or ZUNE while i walk the yard and keep calling myself the pump master till it catches on …
