This video is a gem Robert – thank you very much – a few questions – from
what I understand the only way that outside air is getting in is through
the chamber where the filter is supposed to be – so if I have something
like an exhaust or gas smell in the cabin – that most likely means that
I’ll have excessive exhaust/gas smell outside of the car aswell? Because
the smell must come with the air through that chamber? (given that I don’t
have any leaking doors or something like that) –

Also – if there is ever a coolant leak on the floor – can you really get
that properly cleaned up from the carpet and rubber carpet? isn’t the floor
and carpet always going to be contaminated – feels like you are always
going to sit and inhale those coolant fumes – can’t be good?

Are the heater cores hard to replace?

magna vox says:

If you get the heatercore leaking bad enough it does come through the
carpet. ;)
