CR 2430 Battery that you need – https://amzn.to/2XtxtoH

Tom Composer says:

The little tab was missing that goes between the batteries. There was a 2350 thicker battery instead of two 2430s. Can I install two 2430s without the spacer? Thx

John says:

Use this video, NOT the factory one.

The Think Show says:

As someone else stated, if you slide the lever to the left, it creates a small space that can be used with a small slotted screwdriver, to pry the two halves of the keyfob case apart. Also, avoid actually touching the surface of either battery. Thanks for the video.

Kim Aminu says:

Doe that but warning still showing. Any ideas? Thanks for the vid!

Venessa King says:

Help… I know I placed batteries correctly but it won’t open doors. I’ve ended the car put key in it won’t start?

Sanmarie Michau says:

Thanks for this helpful video.

Barbara Tischler says:

thanks a million! this was very helpful!

Dwayne Jones says:

Nice and quick!

M ERCEDES says:

Ended up stabbing my finger using these instructions. It works better if you put the screwdriver in the hole and push the cover open from the inside…no blood loss!

Paweł C-j says:

Anyone know why does it require two batteries? Is it to higer voltage from 3 to 6V? I just replaced batteries in booth keys and on booth keys the covering distance remained very low. I need to stand no more than 3 meters from the car to lock it remotely and I need to nearly touch the doors or boot to get it opened using keyless :-/ Also although the batteries are fresh my Volvo says 'replace key battery' from time to time

DarknEssMGs says:

Protip – if youre gonna change the batteries, do it as fast as possible, otherwise the key might get desynched. The same case applies if the batteries are "full" dead for a while

Bill Meigs says:

Thanks for the video. That was very helpful. And also the link for the battery!
I had better luck popping the cover by putting the screwdriver blade in the hole that opens up when sliding the catch for the aluminum key to the side. That minimizes the chance of scratching the cover.

Shan valley says:

Hi there
What does that ‘i’ mean on that car keys and how to turn off alarm. If you could tell me plz?

kevin bell says:

Since ive replaced the battery, keyless entry doesnt work anymore, also cant startvehicle unless key is in slot.
