mechanic to program.
That is an RF chip. both the remote and the key head have them and must be
programed to the vehicle. Unfortunately only the Volvo dealer has the
software for programing them.
helped me dissasemble my key that had stopped working. read online that
there was a prob with some volvos having a “screw loose in the key” that
caused this – but with your help I took it apart and there’s no screw that
could be affecting it… So I guess it’s to the dealer with me
