My 2001 S80 looks different. and the transition oil stick is wa-a-ay down
on the right side of the engine…. How to pour oil then? Also the overall,
your volvo is very different from mine…. I was even wondering if it is
1999 =)

is there a sensor for the filter? you missed the part of how to put the
filter
so you basicaly fill it twice with 6.7 liters ?
what size is the o rings ?? whats the specific name for it?
Job well done. Thanks to you I flushed the transmission, changed the filter
and all the O rings and Clamp. By the way, here in California the Volvo
dealer charged me $52.53!!! 52 dollars for those 6 little pieces. A word of
advice to all who want to do this procedures; The bigger the pan the less
mess!!! If you can stick a bath tub under it, do it :):):):). I bought
Mobil3309 ATF from Amazon for around 68 dollars (case of 12). Volvo dealer
wanted 30 dollar for one quart of ATF!!!!

The gm tranny is only mounted on the XC90 t6 and s80 t6 and maybe the s80
2,9l inline 6..

I got my S80 with 120K miles too and the tranny fluid was really dark. I
did replace the fluid and filter immediately after I bought the s80. This
video is the second transmission fluid and filter change after 60K miles. I
recommend do it every 40K miles if you are planning on keeping the Volvo
for long like I do.

Dexron III is no longer licensed, it is been replaced by dexron VI. here in
North America I used Dexron VI in a corolla and it worked great.
I got everything from Volvo dealer. I live in Winnipeg MB.
Not sure what Tranny yours is.

It looks like it is a 4T60e or a 4T65e transmission.
My 04 xc90 T6 had a non changable tranny filter. Jw why the s80 does not

why is it a gm transmission? ive never heard of them being a GM tranny. i

Hi. How many miles do you recommend to change the ATF? My 2002 V40 has a
130000 milage. I am the second owner and suppose that the first owner did
not change the ATF. Is that OK for me to change the ATF recently? It is not
very smoothin accerleration, but not that bad for this old car. Thanks for
