It would be better if you spray it first with WD40 to loosen the bolts and screws before taking it out ( spray before taking it out to loosen and spray it again when putting it on so that it will penetrate the chemical inside the bolts where it goes ) for better and easier removing the next time you do a break job.I don't know if you know this site where you can buy brake pads and rotors and etc. I have used this with my Audi A4, Subaru Crosstrek and I'm on the process to do it on my VW Tiguan, break pads are so quiet you will never hear any noise when you step the break. http://www.r1concepts.com, you can compare it depending on your daily use of vehicle from basic ceramic series to performance sport series.

Great video, EJ! Especially since it's your first brake job. It demonstrates how to do a brake job, as well as the challenges that anyone can face when doing it.

Small correction: At the end, you were correct in stating that you should not just drive off in the car, immediately after changing the brake rotors/pads; however, what you were doing was merely pumping the brake pedal with the engine on. This ensures that the brake piston hydraulics push the calipers against the rotors, so that the piston will be able to apply the brakes properly when needed.

Bleeding the brakes is the process of getting any air pockets out of the brake lines. This is generally only required when changing brake fluid, or brake lines. Many cars require a tool that you affix to the master brake cylinder; and pump in the brake fluid under pressure. With some older cars, you can simply top up the brake fluid in the master cylinder; pump the brakes a few times; then top up the fluid again; then pump the brakes; etc… with the brake valves open. This pushes the old fluid out, while pushing the air bubbles out at the same time..

Bam Bam says:

Before you push the piston back into the caliber you should open up the master cylinder in case the brake fluid rises
