lazy fat man way

Paul Dyer says:

Yes, there is a drain plug, but the oil extractor makes things a LOT
easier… no having to pull the rock guard. I have a Pela, you give it 20
pumps, go have a beer, come back in 20 mins, and you are done.

Ralph Swartz says:

Bloody Hell!! Don’t they have a freaking drain plug? ALWAYS change oil on a
warm (or hot) engine!

WATTYATHINK says:

I use the pella pump (hand model) and also drain (suck) oil out of the oil
filter resevoir with the pella. Always surprises me how much oil is in
there. Also I have to reposition the drain tube in the dip stick holder to
get all the oil … don’t know why … oil seems to be hiding in there on
me …

Tanner King says:

Do jetta’s not have a drain plug?

espinoza956 says:

how often is it recommended to change oil on tdi

Joel Back says:

Good information but the oil needed to be warmed up for sure. One good
thing about the compressor air version is that the synthetic oil shouldn’t
kill it as fast as the pump model.

gohunting13 says:

great job especially on the oil filter information as to questions on the
small oil ring The new oil filters from Oreillys don’t come with the small
o ring

tyler wedgeworth says:

What kind of oil do you use

JustinCase380 says:

Why not just use the housing on the new oil filter (at 1:08 in the video)
instead of removing the filter and o-ring and installing it on the old oil
filter housing/cap?

han0509 says:

what oil is that?

after 12k to 15K km 🙂

K I looked this up specifically to see how to remove the engine cover. That
garnered a “Holy f*ck!!”
