In this video, Gareth Foley, shows you how to replace the front brake rotors and pads with OE replacement units from Zimmermann & Akebono. This is a straight-forward repair and is an upgrade that features ceramic pads and Z-coated Zimmermann rotors.

It’s important to replace your brakes in pairs; otherwise, you may experience front end vibrations or shaking due to unevenly worn brakes. For example, if one side of your front end needs new brakes, replace the other side while you’re at it.

This may give me the confidence to upgrade my Passat B7.5 brakes. Just want more upgrade options for the Passat on the site or am I to assume CC parts fit too? 17 Passat R line

Man great job explaining this process! I'm on my first VW CC and I will be attempting this soon. I will definitely be watching more of your videos, thanks!

I only have a couple of questions since I'm not American and missed some words: why you don't lubricate the guide pins? and did you put loctite medium on the support brackets bolts?
thank you
