With some modifications, I was able to get your hinge to work on a 2003 Kia Spectra, which has a similar center armrest lid. It took me 2 hours instead of 15 minutes. Thanks.

Andrew I have a 2004 A4 with an arm rest lid that is stuck in the closed position. The latch to open the lid is also broken off & I have no idea where to start. Please help.
