MK6 VW GTI Ignition Coil and Spark Plug Replacement, DIY Repair for CEL

A video following along as the Check Engine Light (CEL) is diagnosed and repaired on a 2012 Volkswagen GTI. The procedure is very similar to all 2.0 VW/Audi Group Turbocharged motors, starting in around 2006. These cars are very sensitive to worn spark plugs and often have problems with ignition coils as was the case on this particular car.

What size is the spark plug socket?

when you pulled out the coils it looked like there was some oil on some of them. you could have a leak somewhere. did you ever take a closer look at that?
