Hi there. Did you use Rhino ultra-tough glue or tought-instant GEL glue. I believe the gel would be easier to put on. Thanks in advance.

I had mine done here in Socal and they removed the entire glass and reglued$400. Its been 3 years and it's still going strong. The issue with only working with areas that are impacted is those remaining areas are susceptible to also collapsing. especially if the top gets frequent operation. Look for a convertible specialist in your area

Just wanted to Thank You again. I re-glued 2 seams in my convertible top this past week, you recommended the Rhino glue and WOW that stuff is amazing.I had almost 2' of seam to try to repair and this stuff bonds like nothing I have ever seen.I clamped the seam together where I could (as you recommended) and used typical squeeze clamps for a portion of the seam and in some tight areas I used Neodymium Magnets which worked great.I thought I would mention the neodymium magnets to you since i am sure they would come in handy occasionally for all the different projects you do.Just make sure to get ones that are at least 1/2 thick depending on how much hold power you need.I see your channel becoming a huge hit on youtube, you take the time to answer viewer questions and that is rare and what separates you from the crowd. Your a true man… Thanks again SPC

I have a 2000 Mustang and a guy with a similar car glued his four years ago using GOOP. So I bought a $7 tube of it and have not installed it yet. The other videos I have watched recommend using 3M Window Weld, and your recommending something else. Did your repair last?

Joe R says:

I just bought a Mustang convertible and the rear window is peeling away. The car only has 39,000 miles but is it is a 2000.. I can't see going through all this work.. I think it's better to just spend $1,400 and get a new top

Joe R says:

Never did tell me what kind of glue

Dr. Ed says:

what's the glue U used?

Chris Diehl says:

There is a dark gray strip about 1/4 in thick all the way around the window. I'm assuming that is the old adhesive. Do I need to get rid of that completely?

Nunofyour beesiness says:

I just bought a soft top Chrysler Crossfire convertible and although the window does not need re-glueing,I have a seam which has come apart about 8-10" . Wondering if you have dealt with that type of issue and would the glue you use work ? I realize I will have to come up with a good way to clamp the seam while gluing it. Upholstery shop says 2k to replace and claims it can't be glued which may be why I see no vids on youtube for seam glueing (only patching holes) But I am going to try it before dishing out 1- 2k since the top looks new otherwise. Thanks for all the videos I have learned so much in just the last few days watching your videos and can't wait to try your scratch/ding touch up paint tricks.

I personally would not grind the aluminum on a grinding wheel–the metal will "load" the wheel and can cause it to become unbalanced, which can lead to other problems. The file works very well.

Oh, that's the way I've been looking. That's great!!!!
