MK7 and MQB models Can have issues with overheating the oil. This is very likely to happen under heavy load or track conditions, which can be detrimental to engine operation. Installing an Oil cooler on your car will help ensure your MQB model continues to run great even when you are pushing it to the limit. Thanks for another DIY fellas! Been real curious on the install of this.. it's on the list and would match well with all the other racingline bits on the car. I could definitely use the lower temps and more capacity, paired with a bigger pan those temps should definitely drop a noticeable amount!

Is there a thermostat version of this? cause under normal circumstances you don't need the extra cooling capacity and you are keeping your oil below optimal temp.
