Nick Jones says:

Replaced mine for the first time since I bought my car at 47K (147K now).
Your video was very helpful. For those with the clamp still in place
you’ll probably need to loosen it with some WD40 and then use I believe an
8mm socket to remove it. I tried a philips head screwdriver but stipped
the screw, but the socket worked much easier. I also forgot to release the
cap on the fuel tank and got sprayed with a little excess fuel. I would
also release the back hoseclamp first and then slide the filter out the
front. You can even take the new filter’s caps and place them on the old
filter to prevent it from spilling out any fuel. I had tried to remove the
forward clamp while it was in place, but the point to release the clamp is
more easily accessed with the filter hanging down. But being the first
fuel filter I have ever replaced it was pretty straightforward.

Again, great video. Thanks for taking the time to make it.

every how many miles are you to replace this fuel filter. I never knew we
had to switch it. just ordered one new

Zimco says:

This was a great help changing the filter, but personally a problem I
encountered was that the clip that holds the fittings on the filter was
seized up and in the end I had to replace the fuel line coming from the
engine bay to the filter. This in it self is not a huge amount of work,
just cut the fuel line, then tape the new hose to the old one and pull it
thru. The reason i mention this is that my car had to be out of commission
for 2 days while the new fuel line was ordered.

Ken De Decker says:

Changed mine, 2009 Jetta City, filter has two in and one out Mann – WK692,
UFI -3183300 or Bosch F026403006 part number. Best you remove the line(s)
that you can apply your screw driver to the clips before you release the
filter so you have some leverage. The clips can be very resistant. Then
release the filter and do the remaining clip when you can flip it around to
get at the tab. You have to love German engineering, where else could they
hide a fuel filter?

Artem K says:

Hello, could you please advise why beeps coming with ignition on (startin
from 1:30 of this video)? This is due to open door or due to some
malfunction? Thanks in Advance for your reply!

ben400 says:

the purpose is to release the pressure in the fuel line, if u dont , the
fuel will “pop out” fast when u remove the line clips of the filter.
