6:00 – those $1200 wiper and $2400 front-end issues would still happen on the electric cars. My favorite story when I had a Boxster was when I took it in for brakes. They call me and give me a $1K estimate, I say ‘yeah, that’s not bad (for Porsche)’, so I say fine. Then he says ‘do you want to do the rear as well?’ Baaah! Another $700.

I took a job at a Volkswagen dealership as a technician in 2011. I didn’t have the patience to keep working on those cars. Modules for this. Modules for that. It was steady money, but I said no thanks. Everything breaks. These days I refuse to work on Volkswagen products or Dodge products.

Your right Scotty owned a VW Passat 1992 money pit. When i finally drove it to the wrecker it died hesitated right at the lot. Car looked clean handled like it was on rails but rare things broke that normal cars never happen. Had to buy specific dealer power steering fluid no part stores sold for VW. Be careful when buying new under warranty the dealer had maintenance costs that had to do with the engine, Yet the head gasket kept leaking after month of fixing it. Swore never to buy another German car VW to be specific. Now i'm looking for another car after my Acura CL died. Could you make a video of BMW m240i or 440i B58 engine. Looks to me engine is reliable in 2019 years above cost of repairs is equal to Lexus RC 350 AWD.
