I was referring to the rotation of the cam or phone..lol..when taking video it should be held sideways vs vertical… at any rate I think my 1.8T has this same leak, though yours seem easier to access than mine..

First off, absolutely great tutorial. I followed it to a "T" and had the entire thing done in an hour or so. Took me awhile, as I had to flush my system a few times to get all the old coolant out.
Also, in case you were interested, ECS Tuning and EuroWise teamed up and made an entire cast aluminum cooling system upgrade kit for much of our failure prone plastic components. Maybe be a bit pricier, but it definitely will hold up longer and let's be honest, looks cooler. If interested, see below.

same happened on my 05 passat 1.8L it was leaking when its only cold.. and it took me while to figure that out
