Awesome! Someone tampered with and damaged my lock and I need to replace it. Super glad to see your step by step – I know it will make my work a lot easier. Thanks a lot for the video.

Just completed replacing the driver door handle on my 98 T100 with power windows and locks and remote opener. Those options made no difference in the job. Toyota wanted $130 ($30 to $50 at local parts stores) for the handle after my discount so I bought a cheaper one on Ebay for $11 delivered. Not enough difference between the OEM and the one I got to say anything. I followed the video instructions (which could be a little more detailed, if you make another) and it all worked well. The only thing which should be mentioned as I found out after completing the job was to leave the middle 10mm bolt in place while removing the other two. This holds the lock cylinder in place and is removed after the broken handle is removed. Bolt the cylinder on to the new handle before inserting into the door handle opening. This way the cylinder doesn't fall and it does not interfere with removing or replacing the handle. My cylinder fell inside the door but was easily retrieved by removing a little more of the plastic sheet door cover. I also found the cheap broken plastic door handle part there.
I spent more time on the job as I never did it before. Took the panel off, visually inspected the handle and rod to be sure nothing had disassembled instead of broke, replaced the panel, checked prices, ordered the part which arrived after two days. If I were to do this again, I think the whole job could be done in about half an hour with experience or an hour learning while you go.
Finally (you thought I would never get here) if you have power windows and locks, before removing the door panel, pry the control plate up starting from the front with a slot screwdriver, then slide the plate out with a forward motion. Remove the two plastic control modules by pressing the locking lever on each and pull one down and the other slides out. There is a screw on one module but it does NOT have to be removed, then take off the door panel being careful not to break the wiring for a small door speaker. This speaker needs to be unscrewed at this point to remove.
Thanks for the video.
