Toyota really needs to fix this feature…

In this #shorts I complain about my 2022 Toyota Tundra remote start turning off after you unlock the door. This just doesn’t make sense to me as to why it needs to shut off.

There would be complaints in the other direction if there were reports of trucks being stolen when left idling and someone jumped in and took off.

Rocky’s Life says:

Their smart key system is terrible . You cannot lock the door with the fob when the car is running . I have to take out that stupid key to lock the door and then use it to open it. People got dogs.

Phillip F says:

Wow that sucks plus it took so long to start. Thats a no. F150 is good in 3 sec and stays on

shane brown says:

Ya think! Stupidest shit ever. The new tundra is not even close to the truck of the previous generation.

Jeffrey Mcdonald says:

Purchase or borrow a diagnostic comp tool and you can change all kinds of settings and more. Decent ones start at $300.

Willie Bonilla says:

Don’t you want to hear how your engine start while you’re seating in the truck?????!!!!

METRO autos Racing says:

I bought a 2022 tundra I want to put r20 35×12 tires on it, do you think that if they fit well, they will be very large and will scratch with the car

Steve Cheatham says:

Yes dumb. That way on the 4Runner too. If they made it check for the key to keep running when the door gets opened (or just periodically), it would keep the car from being stolen.
