If govt did not subsidize electric cars they would virtually disappear. Except for the rich mans toy Tesla the average person could not afford an electric car. Also it would take at least 10 years longer than a gasoline vehicles life to recoup your costs over a gasoline engine. Pollution does not start at the tailpipe and where are we going to put all those retired batteries? I have not even started in on the ACTUAL SLAVE labor involved in making the batteries.
FYI: PHEV is invented by BYD, a Chinese auto manufacture
