I thing J.D. Power read the list wrong and backwards it's the "most" dependable to the least dependable, and of course Toyota is on the top of the list.

My last 3 cars have been Kia, Kia and Buick. I've been very happy with all of them. The 2021 Kia K5 gt-line especially. I put 39k miles on it in 2 years (before a guy smashed into me and totalled it) and it was a dream to drive, spacious especially trunk space, 34-36mpg, and I have never had so many people stop me in public wanting to know what kind of car it was because it was so beautiful. I never even got that attention with my Camaro when it was new. You really can't beat the value >2019 Kia vehicles provide. Buick Lacrosse I had for 10 years and put 160k miles on it, never anything but standard maintenance on it. Sure Toyota has a reputation for reliability, but my god, they are some of the UGLIEST cars on the market. Super outdated designs and interior. I drove a Toyota Corrolla while waiting for my Sportage to arrive on special order, and the Corolla was the biggest piece of crap I've ever driven, well other than a Jeep Patriot rental. I was in fear for my life every time I had to cross a road for it's lack of power. You know it's bad when I was happy they gave me a Nissan Altima of all things to drive, I swore I'd never drive a Nissan, but it even was leaps and bounds above Toyota. Much more powerful, and a halfway modern interior, though it couldn't begin to touch the Kia for features.

Literally everything these days is just beta testing they can't make something precise enough to release it until they make it wrong a few times first, and use the public as guinea pigs, seems like it's absolutely everywhere now.

Jetskis are the same. I have worked on jetskis for over 15 years. How many engines have I rebult or replaced? Way more than I can count. I have never had to replace a Yamaha engine, ever. That's why every jetski you rent says Yahmaha on it.
