Today we are installing the sliding rear cargo deck back into the 4Runner. I had previously removed this to install some aftermarket truck bed drawers. This step-by-step installation shows how to return to the OEM sliding cargo deck system. Before installing the drawers I lined the cargo area with sound deadening material so your cargo area might look slightly different. To start remove all carpet and get down to the bare unlined floor before preceding with the install. The OEM sliding cargo area consists of Hardware, storage box, brackets right and left, storage box, storage box lid, cargo deck frame/sliding mechanism, carpet and deck. Installation took just under an hour to complete.
