Making 2016+ Toyota Tacoma Seats More Comfortable (No More Leg Pain!!)

Making 2016+ Toyota Tacoma Seats More Comfortable (No More Leg Pain!!)

Hey guys, in this video I install a set of Front Seat Jackers from Desert Does It, and then install a set of rear spacers.

I felt as if just the front spacers helped 20% with the hamstring numbness, but just gave me a load of back pain. I was much happier when I added the .5″ of rear lift to accompany the 1.25″ of front lift.

The seats are much more comfortable now, and I love driving the truck again. It is a noticeable difference!

This isn’t a fix all, but I hope it helps someone! At 5’10, it’s been the perfect fix for me.

ALLABOUTSOUNDQ says:

I feel bad for all you who bought this truck.

For as many people who have this problem, you’d think Toyota would fix this.

This is one reason I went with a Tundra instead of the Tacoma. The Tacoma seats are not high enough and are very uncomfortable.

George B says:

With the rear spacers at 1/2" did you have to replace the bolt and get a longer one? Or did it still have enough thread?

ram dat says:

Got a taco couple years ago. Loved the truck but after a week the seats caused me back problem this was the last resort before I sold it. I'm happy to say this solved my problem and loving my taco. I'm 5'10 180lbs

Happy You 'solved' Your 'Seat Issue'!!!!…just wondering ….peeps say the 3rd Gen. Taco..has 'Tranny issue's'…( issue: meaning…seems to never be in the 'right' gear for accelerating on ramp to interstate…or downshifting as well.?? )..Do you have any 'comments…or input on this? ..really considering a TACO…but just concerned about this 'Problem'. p.s. you have The COOLEST TACO!!!…Safe Travels Man!!….cheers Thanks from Canada….

Dylan Wyant says:

I have a 21 (power seats) don't have that problem.

ChrisWilkinson says:

Tacoma has such a short bottom seat front to back compared to some vehicles. It’s rough. I wonder if the power seat is any better

Brendan Koch says:

What did you just push to make that beeping noise go off??? That drives me insane on my truck!

Rick Ogden says:

They are good for skinny legged people. Not for stocky people with shorter legs, unless you want to drive hands free and just use the tops of your legs. Tried on a 2021 Tacoma. The video presentation was good.

Craig Marincovich says:

Just installed mine last week.. One of My favorite mods

Alex says:

I bought these and installed them. They feel way different at first but, after a long drive, I personally still experience the discomfort. By long drive I mean my 30-35 min drive to work every day. Very disappointed in these Tacoma seats.

Keepit ChillPeople says:

There is no need for the front spacers. Honestly, buying a 1'' spacer from a hardware store and a longer bolt (make sure its stout) for the back will improve the seating position and does not interfere with head room, plus it's a lot cheaper. Do this at your own risk.

002 says:

I'd prefer to lift the back of the front seats

I pray everyone who reads this becomes extremely successful and encounter a kind of blessings that will overcome your fears! Spend less and invest more

Great video

JerryW says:

Bijan, I fabbed a set of these AND 1" risers for the rear when I had my '12 Tacoma. It made a huge difference, especially on long drives(like IL > CA). The stock position was so painful after just one hour on the highway.

Anders0nic Offroad says:

I’ve got spacers in the rear only and it made a HUGE difference for me. I’m 5’10” and it made all the difference in the world!
