got a kia forte with over 200k miles, Kia uses the worst paint and its peeling off, other than that, its a reliable car. The 2.4 L with the 4 speed automatic is reliable.
Scotty sounds like me,ive worked on my own car all my life, and don't believe you get your moneys worth from a new car.
Problem is he’s comparing a Camry to a forte… if he compared a Optima to a Camry, the Optima blows it away in quality, and feel. Could’ve compared it to a corolla, which I’d take a brand new forte over one of those things any day.

They are not even the same class .. should compare to civic from a class/size perspective

Sorrento telluride k900 are the kias to get for quietness Sorento and telluride ride like a dream.
Back then the forte had a thrashy engine and terrible ride.
Kias for whatever reason have weird drains , I fixed mines by getting the battery that fit it.
The new Kia Soul looks like a Land Rover Evoque. Funny thing, it's probably more dependable.

I use my blue driver everyday. It gives me information about my hybrid battery.
Kia Forte is compared to the Corolla. Optima is compared to Camry.
Toyota’s don’t have a smooth ride either
What about the Kia 2.4 engines locking up and the 3.5 V6 losing oil thru the internal oil pressure sensor?
Then finally, the newer GDI engines using low tension rings and going through as much as 4 qts of oil 3000 miles.

Scotty You most make a video about KIA SOUL manual transmission. It’s a car make for American market, but this car remind me like Toyota Latin America car version, cheap, good, basic and reliable car.
I have a 2006 honda civic when I accelerate is fine shifting normal but the problem is when it decelerates go slow in 25 mph i heard a grinding noise don’t know where it coming from
How are hyundais? Better than kias?

You compare the Optima with the Camry not the Forte.

No way a kia is better! A buddy of mine called me today to tell me his wifes 2012 kia forte engine blew up. It had 96,000 miles and had always been taken care of. Luckily for them, kia agreed to repair it, but not with a new engine. They will be getting a remaned engine from kia. No way that engine should of blew are under 100,000 when never abused.
