Think the title has wrong years. The outside filters ended with the 2004 Tundra line. My lines were all rusted up so I soaked them overnight with acetone-brake fluid mix to help "loosen them up". Why not pull the fuel pump fuse then the engine until the Tundra runs out of gas. This will run the gas line dry. Then you can disconnect and not worry about collecting any gasoline still in the line.

what is that thing bolted between the frame rail and the body

I appreciate this video very much

Whitehistorymonth says:

Seems like you would want to disconnect all the brackets before you start leaking fuel everywhere But thanks, I found everything I needed to know though.

REB says:

Thanks, great info. I had replaced the fuel filter before and had problems. Your video showed my why. One question. You didn't mention if the battery should be disconnected or not.

Garrett Lockley says:

My 2008 Tundra Crewmax 5.7 has this filter setup. Maybe there is one in the tank as well but I can tell you for sure there is an external on mine. I am about to change it. Don't think you can find the replacement at Autozone, O'riely's or Advanced, you will have to order it online or from the dealer. I can't speak for other people's Tundras but mine has this inline filter.

adventures and quadcopters says:

2007 and up is a completely different truck. 05 and 06 the filter is inside the tank, so the info in this video is only good for 2000 – 2004

Beck Beckman says:

My 2004 Tundra fuel filter bracket needs to be replaced. How is that done. Two welded square nuts are holding the brakes i place. Thanks

Beck Beckman says:

Great video. Another video shows the filter bracket a bit difficult to re-attach. I am getting ready to change mine out on my 2004 Tundra. Thank You

Richard Leaper says:

All Tundras 2005 up, no external fuel filter- in the tank

giffy5775 says:

Open the holding bracket and loosen the line clamps before you take the lines off the filter and you'll minimize fuel loss. Also, gas is highly flammable, don't get any on you, you are in danger when doing this. Have an escape route and class B fire extinguisher at hand.

Saul Licona says:

I want to do the oil change but I don't know what kind of oil can put can you tell me what kind of oil can put in this truck 2000 Toyota Tundra please

Cecilia Gongora says:

Toyota Tundra series trucks

rci30 says:

Great video. Any chance that this is similar to a 2004 Sequoia?

Harry Balls says:

Sorry' Wrong–
In 2005 Toy joined today's plastic tank crowd and now tank rust is no longer an issue. Meaning 2005-up Tundras no longer have external/inline fuel filters at all, only the screen filter inside the tank like many other vehicles.
So' be extra sure to avoid fueling up while station pumps are being filled by tankers as it stirs all the crap up off the bottom of the ground tanks and you get it.

JohnnySixString says:

I don't know about the other years and models, but the fuel filter on 05-06 Double Cab Tundras is in the tank.

Raven Feather says:

That's not a high pressure line? Or had you already relieved the pressure?

Darwin W says:
