DanTheManIOM says:

Just did this project, Why would the wheel spin forward but then not spin backward ? That's why I brought it in, and found the rear shoes gone….and I think they were grinding…. I am going to get a new hardware kit (11 year old, rusty) tomorrow and see, I think the spring retainers are not strong enough and the shoes are moving when I change direction. — What do you think ?

Mr. Bored says:

thank you for great educational video

CTAjunior says:

Great video explaining the process but wow this looks like one of the most complicated jobs to do on a car. I don’t think I can do this..

Claudia Cast says:

How do I change the dust shield on the back? Also, how important it that shield. I can’t seem to find it anywhere or a video on how to change it.

VTMongoose says:

This video bailed me out big time. Thanks.

Zeberka says:

Wouldn't it be so much easier to remove the hub assembly, since all that is needed is to remove the 4 bolts, so that there could be a clear access to the parking brake shoes and all its hardware? Btw, can the same hub assembly that is removed be reinstalled, or once it's removed, is a new one required? Thank you!

whitrich47 says:

The old saying, "a picture is worth a thousand words" certainly does apply here. I was trying to reinstall the e-brake assy and after 2 hours, cussed it and left it laying on the concrete and popped a beer. Looked this video up on you tube and saw where I was trying to install the retaining spring rod into the little hole instead of the slot. I had it backwards. Thanks for the video.
