A nice upgrade dome/map light from the 89-95 Toyota 4Runner. Very easy to install and the dual individual map lights are very nice.
I wasn’t aware that this was possible until I was at the junkyard last Friday searching for a 94-97 Accord transmission. I found a 91 pickup and a 94 4Runner and had been looking for the OEM clock for my truck. I found the clock and also saw this mirror so I pulled it and fitted it to the truck and fit perfect. I’m glad I checked. After getting home, I googled this upgrade and found that many people have done it already, I just have never checked myself. I’m happy I found one!

And you also have the day/night mirror.
Great video. Thanks
great channel!( sub'd btw) how much did you pay for your truck?
from what years(generation) 4runner do you get these parts from?
First of all, GREAT VIDS MAN, I already did the speaker boxes and the clock on the dash, saw this one but my question is my truck is a extended cab and does not have the dome light there is in the middle of the cab… you think the wiring will be there for it as well?
My 1991 pickup doesn't have the plug for the dome light do u know where'd it be or where I could find one
Done! I did mine this morning and I replaced the incandescent light bulbs to LED's, looks great. Thank you for the DIY video
Do you know anywhere that would sell the 4Runner dome light like yours?
Love the Toys. Thinking of doing a project myself. You need to do aftermarket power windows or does your truck already have them?
I was just wondering if your pickup came from factory with a double din radio pocket or did you swap it?
great mods! keep up the good work! love all the little oem mods that can be done! thanks for sharing
Really like your videos with these Toyotas keep making them!!
my car is toyota 4runner 1998 my map/dome is not working i buy many lights but no luck can you plzhelp me plz by making a video plz man
Thanks for this video! I've tried to find out on how to remove the map light cover. I ran in to this video and YOU showed it. Again, thanks!!!
went to the junkyard yesterday looking for SR5 trinkets for my '94 xtra cab pickup and came across a '98 and a '00 4Runner, one of which had map lights like you installed in this video (except tan with no center rocker switch) and the other had a bigger map light assembly that has the drop down sunglasses holder (and it's grey like my interior!).
hopefully i can make it work! it has a bracket that is held in with the 3 screws for the mirror baseplate thing, and it reaches backward from the mirror and the map light assembly has a single screw passing up between the lights that threads into this bracket. not sure if the rear most part of the bracket is supposed to rest on some metal roof frame piece that i don't think my pickup has (how does one remove these thin vinyl headliners our pickups have anyway? I just got my truck not a month ago ha)
I actually just put an SR5 dome light on my base pickup and the holes for the remaining screws are actually there. No need to drill holes or anything.
