How to Install Toyota Pickup Cluster SR5 4Runner Upgrade (Tach, Oil Pressure, Volt)

How to Install Toyota Pickup Cluster SR5 4Runner Upgrade (Tach, Oil Pressure, Volt)

I read about this cluster swap on yotatech.com and really like the added Tachometer, Oil Pressure gauge, Volt Meter, and especially the Trip Meter. I found a cluster at a junkyard for $20. I adjusted the tach potentiometer and added the wire for the tach signal and everything worked perfect. I used the thread from yotatech.com for all the help I needed. It should answer pretty much every question you could have about the cluster swap.

D M says:

Do you have a clinometer for sale?

Nick Zethof says:

in the middle of tearing apart my dash and putting the cluster back in the speedo cable is too short for me to have hand back there to plug it back in, noticed you dont seem to have speedo cable in the video, is your cluster wireless?

rags 1977 says:

Amazing video my 93 pickup came with it.after converting it into carbureted engine my 93 Speedo does not work anymore..I looking to do a cable swap.

RoadWarrior 41 says:

Is that a 4 or 6 cylinder?

Jedi Lion says:

how do you change the Odometer numbers to match the vehicles true reading?

Michael Gonzalez says:

Jon, great videos. i was wondering if you might know if a 1991 toyota t100 gauge cluster will fit aa automatic 1990 toyota dlx?

Gary Cima says:

Another super cool upgrade. Very cool Jon. I just got a 92 2wd with very low miles that I cannot wait to make these upgrades too!

Tooslow_srt says:

Nice Video! I'm about to get that cluster myself but mh main concern is how exactly do you adjust the potentiometer? I read and saw pics of the link you posted but really doesn't say how to increase resistance?? I see that it says to check resistance but how exactly to you increase it or adjust? or am I missing something?

Jacob Reynolds says:

Answered my tach question. Thanks!

T_rav w says:

those clusters look like shit the original one was nicer

Philip Poon says:

How did you get your odometer to match with your original mileage.

Reggie Rosser says:

What exactly is a potentiometer and what does it do for the cluster?

pncntigger says:

Do you happen to know where the oil pressure sending unit is on the v6? That is the only thing holding me back from putting everything back together. lol

John e says:

These things are hard to find. $20 is a steal compared to eBay prices. I tried looking in some junkyards, but no luck yet. If I had a ford this would be super easy, junkyards are filled with fords. The treasure hunt will continue..one of these days.

Alan Arevalo says:

I checked the wiring and and my pickup is not prewired for the tachometer, can you please tell which wire did you tap in the distributor coil? I think I heard you say yellow wire but I'm not sure. Please let me know

Alan Arevalo says:

Thank you for video, it is very helpful. I'm just about to swap mine and I checek the wiring
