You may want to check to see if there’s power to the switch. If there isn’t
check the wire harness between the driver side door and body of the vehicle
for a broken or possible frayed wire. Hope this helps you out. 1aauto.com

The rear driver side power window button doesn’t work from the drivers door
panel. All other buttons function. And the actual button on the rear driver
window doesn’t work. Any advice would be great
my mom has 89 Toyota Camry and both of her back doors will not open. The
handles kind of feel like the child lock might be on but the doors will not
open from the inside or outside. Any help would be greatly appreciated
You may need to take the door panel off with the door closed, and open it
from the inside of the door, if it will not open for you. 1aauto.com

I have an 03 camry. The front passngr door lock will not open. Iv tried
opening w/ the original key & remote and it will not unlock. It seems like
something is stuck and doesn’t let the latch operate correctly. I would
like to check the lock actuator to see if that’s the problem, but since I
can not open the door, I can not disassemble the door panel. Any
suggestions? I will greatly appreciate anyone’s input.
good video, great info thanks
Thank you so much for sharing this – it worked (almost) perfectly for my
camry. I had a couple extra screws under a door light and under a handle
speaker – but after we found those, it came off easily. OH – and thank you
for including how to put those push pin type “screws” – I wasn’t sure about
that until I watched the rest of the video!
It may cause a vibration issue if it’s not installed correctly.
@tctebsrules You have to really be careful with this age of car – the
plastic can get brittle and snap with not that much force.
I have a 94 camry, the lock on the front passenger door won’t close
automatically, though it seems to get nudged slightly every time we try. Is
this something that could be fixed without much of a hassle by removing the
door panel? Any help would be really appreciated.
Thanks for all the Camry tech. Much appreciated! made my DIY so easy!
Blessings to you!
on a different topic.. I am feeling vibration at the steering wheel, shifter
and at the dashboard. I dont have any issues with the front end, i have
recently aligned and balanced the wheels..I did have bad motor mounts so i
replaced all 3 but i noticed that the “dog bone” upper motor mount is not
sitting properly it looks like its binding, It is the side that bolt
towards the motor..I believe that is the cause of the vibration.. Any
thoughts on the problem? Good video 🙂 very informative..
@MIANJILO If you can’t open the door from the inside or the outside,
sometimes the only thing you can do is find a way to take the door panel
off with the door closed so that you can access the lever that will open
the door latch mechanism. If you can get all of the screws holding the
panel onto the door, you should be able to use a putty knife to remove the
panel from the door so that you can take the door panel off. Hope this
helps you out.
cool i just broke the plastic piece next to the mirror. maybe i should stop
at step 1
Im replacing the speakers in my car and I was wondering if the grilles
above the front speakers just pop off? or do I have to take the whole door
panel off?
Thanks for replying..Yes it think so myself. I will have to return the
motor mount and get anothey one. best regards
It shouldn’t be that bad of a job. It usually involves removing the door
panel, and then taking the rod off of the door lock actuator. Then either
unbolt or drill out the rivet holding the actuator to the door so that you
can service it. Hope this helps you out.
Great video! Helped me out a lot. I should also tell you that on some of
the higher end models, there’s a red door light near the handle/armrest
(towards the end of the door). You need to remove that light to get to the
5th screw. Thank you so much for making this video!
For the door handle, it seemed easiest for us to pry the bottom clip out by
having the screwdriver contact the inside of the bottom portion. . Took us
forever to figure that out.
@jmdd22 Glad we could help you out. We carry a great selection of repair
parts for your Camry at 1aauto.com
does the passanger door panel remove just as easily-driver door won’t open
from outside and passenger door won’t open from inside -. I believe both
pins popped off handle from inside panel.
@tctebsrules Thank you for watching out auto repair videos. You may be able
to find a replacement piece in your local salvage yard.
This video is GREAT! You guys keep up the good work!
@codak306 That one can be a little tricky. it should come right off as
shown in the video.
It sounds like the door lock actuator may have gone bad. If there’s power
to it, and it wiggles when you try to unlock the door, it’s usually the
sign of a bad door lock actuator.
This is how us women work on our own cars without getting marked up at an
auto shop.. bought my own speakers and replaced the BY MY SELF! THANK YOU!!
You more than likely we need to remove the whole door panel.
Just did this last week to replace stereo speakers and the process is
simple and well depicted in the video. Only relatively tough part was
removing the bezel around the handle and lock. Pay close attention to the
video and pry from within the bezel rather than the outside. Bezels may
break and you risk damaging the door if you pry from the outside.
THANK YOU!!! This video was a lot of help, and I appreciate it!
You may need to remove the door panel and pop the door open from inside of
it. Once the door panel is off you should be able to grab a rod and remove
it.
Im having trouble trying to remove the pastic housing around the handle. Iv
pried it with a screw driver and it just wont come out, iv pulled on it
with my fingers and it wont budge
If that is indeed my issue, would it be a job that could be left to the
average joe (aka myself)? Hopefully with the use of some everyday tools.
Thanks for replying! Appreciate it!
